Enrique Loewe Knappe Helios NYL
by Enrique Loewe Knappe-
LOEWE began as a cooperative of leather artisans in the centre of Madrid in 1846. It is one of the world’s oldest major luxury houses. By 1910, Loewe had acquired a reputation as the most luxurious leather goods supplier in the city and began expansion over the Spanish territory. In 1934 Enrique Loewe Knappe took over the company and there followed a succession of store openings and expansions.
Helios NYL is a mens 22kt gold and platinum plated frame from the 80's. New old stock, this square supra is super stylish and the luxury finish is visible for all to see. The lens is supported by a Nylon supra cord. The temporal edge features the ELK emblem and the sides display the signature. We highly recommend our Super Strong lenses for these frames, to prevent any chipping or damage to lenses with wear.
Enrique Loewe Knappe glasses and sunglasses we manufactured for a one-time only collection so each piece is extremely rare and has its own unique numerical identifier. The frames are 22kt gold plated and all new unused old stock. This is a small to medium gents frame, check the size guide and measurements.
These spectacles were created by Enrique Loewe Knappe to be an objet d’art. They have been manufactured using exquisite and refined materials fashioned by the best and most prestigious craftsmen in the industry. Being produced in a limited series the spectacles have been individually numbered as a guarantee of their exclusiveness.
The frames contain quality features which combine the leading edge of technology and craftsmanship. Automatic processes are only used where necessary in order to order precision measurement. A complex process using precious metal coatings, such palladium, platinum and 22kt gold plated in strategic coats of differing thicknesses achieve a high gold plate (HGP) Turing these frames into a jewel.
By the end of the 60’s Loewe was beginning to expand internationally. Fans of the brand included Ava Gardner, Rita Hayworth, Sophia Loren and Ernest Hemingway.
All spectacles supplied with a brand new spectacle case and a Retro Spectacle microfibre cleaning cloth.
